Sharon Bryan is the author of four books of poems, most recently Sharp Stars, which received the Isabella Gardner Poetry Award. She edited Where We Stand: Women Poets on Literary Tradition, and co-edited, with William Olsen, Planet on the Table: Poets on the Reading Life. Her awards include NEA Fellowships in Poetry, arts grants from Tennessee and Washington, and an Arvon Foundation prize. His photographs have appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, National Geographic and Traveler, and Discover. He is a mushroom forager, swimmer, and practitioner of Uechi Ryu karate.
