Join Cheryl Lu-Lien Tan on Instagram as she interviews Tony Eprile (Fiction, MFA Writing Faculty), an award-winning novelist and fiction mentor in the low-residency MFA Creative Writing graduate program at Lesley University. Tune in to watch her ask him about his books, the writing process, and any number of embarrassing questions suggested by the audience. He may also do a reading from a yet-to-be-published work.
Tony Eprile was born in South Africa, where his father was editor of the first multi-racial, mass-circulation newspaper, The Golden City Post. His novel, The Persistence of Memory, was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year and won the Koret Jewish Book prize for fiction. His writings have appeared in The Nation, The New York Times, Ploughshares, Agni, Story Quarterly, and elsewhere.
