The Spanish edition of Jane Brox’s (Nonfiction, MFA Writing Faculty) nonfiction book, Silence — which was published in the U.S. by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in January 2019 — will be published this Fall.

Wendy Ewan’s (WSS, June 2018) play My First Love is one of seven winners that will receive productions with The Seven: New Works Festival in her home state of New Mexico. Performance dates will be announced in early September.

Ella Nathanael Alkiewicz (Nonfiction, June 2018) has a flash fiction piece out on Straw Dog Writers’ Guild, entitled “Out of This World.” She also has a poem, “Ripples,” recently published by Attack Bear Press.

Jo-Anne Hart’s (Nonfiction, January 2019) opinion piece, “Keeping it real in virtual learning,” has been published in Providence Journal.

Rahima R. Rice (WSS, January 2019) has a new article out on Medium entitled, “Acting Outside the Box.”

Jason Reynolds (WFYP, MFA Writing Faculty) is a finalist for the 2020 Kirkus Prize in the young adult category for Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You: A Remix of the National Book Award-winning Stamped From the Beginning, written with Ibram X. Kendi.
