A.J. Verdelle (Fiction, MFA Writing Faculty) is listed in USA Today’s “100 Black novelists and fiction writers you should read, from Abi Daré to Zora Neale Hurston” for her 1995 debut novel, “The Good Negress,” which was a finalist for a PEN/Faulkner award for fiction and won her the Whiting Award for emerging writers.

Hurley Winkler (Fiction, January 2017) will be hosting a series of workshops this fall for fiction and nonfiction. Each session is five weeks long and is capped at four students each. Register here.
