Celeste Mohammed (Fiction, June 2016) is the winner of the overall 2022 OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature for her debut novel-in-stories, Pleasantview. She talks about her writing journey in an article in The Trinidad Express. Pleasantview has also been shortlisted for the UK Society of Authors 2022 McKitterick Prize.
Cindy House (Fiction, June 2017) will be launching her book Mother Noise on Monday, May 16th at RJ Julia Booksellers in Madison, CT. She will be in conversation with Leah Glennon (Fiction, June 2017). Mother Noise was also listed as one of “12 Books We Can’t Wait to Read in May” on PureWow.com.
Andrea Wang’s (WFYP, June 2011) picture book Watercress has been awarded the 2022 New Generation Book Award from I’m Your Neighbor Books. Watercress was also listed as an AAPI Recommended Picture Book by the New York Public Library’s Teen Reading Ambassadors.
